Darshan Joshi is vice president – Storage and Availability Management Group - at Symantec. His role is to ensure Symantec's long-term success by innovating technologies and architecture; while providing leadership to the Storage and Availability Management engineering team.

Prior to this role, Darshan served as senior director and distinguished engineer at Symantec for close to nine years. He has been instrumental in driving new technologies from inception to release. As a Distinguished Engineer, which is a recognition for technical achievement and innovative contributions at Symantec, Darshan has proved himself as a technology visionary.

He has over 18 years of experience in the software industry, and has previously been associated with technology companies such as Informix Software, which was later on acquired by IBM.

Darshan holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences from Gujarat University, India. He holds three patents in the high availability space.
